Adapostul Asociatiei Love Animals a luat fiinta in anul 2009 la initiativa doamnei doctor Viorica Karpinecz, presedinta Asociatiei. Acesta este situat in Petrosani, pe malul Jiului, langa fosta Exploatare Miniera Dalja. In adapost sunt 130 de caini, adulti si pui, caini de rasa comuna sau metisi, dar si cateva exemplare de caini de rasa. Cei mai multi au fost adunati de pe strazi sau au fost scosi de la Serviciul de ecarisaj din subordinea Primariei Petrosani. Din pacate, situatia financiara si mai ales, lipsa unor sponsori, nu ne permite sa-i salvam pe toti cainii aflati sub tutela autoritatilor locale sau mai bine spus in mainile hingherilor. Cainii sunt adapostiti in tarcuri in care exista mai multe custi de lemn. Din punctul de vedere al dotarilor, trebuie sa recunoastem ca situatia este foarte critica. Singurul mijloc de transport al adapostului este o Dacie Papuc.
